Access Film-Music at 2010 ÉCU European Independent Film Festival

The European Independent Film Festival (ÉCU) continues its commitment of being at the centre of discovery, promotion and projection of the very best independent filmmaking talent from around the world.

For 2010, Access Film-Music Ltd. has become the Official Music Partner of the ÉCU European Independent Film Festival, programming live music for press receptions, awards ceremonies and after-parties at multiple venues in Paris, including the final night celebration on a scenic boat cruise down Le Seine, the river that runs through the heart of Paris.

ÉCU will showcase filmmakers whose films demonstrate quality, innovation and independence in both form and content. There are thirteen categories of films in this highly esteemed competitive festival.

While ÉCU’s goal is to bring worldwide attention to European independent filmmakers, there are also four foreign categories open to independent filmmakers from the Americas, Africa and Asia.

The festival will take place in Paris in March 12 - 14 2010.

The European Independent Film Festival (ÉCU) has established itself as a fantastic arena for independent filmmakers from around the world to screen their films to large audiences made up of a cinema-loving public who are seeking alternatives to the offerings of major studios, as well as to agents, talent scouts, production company representatives, distributors and established producers looking for new projects and raw talent. Of course several hundred independent filmmakers from around the world will be in Paris to participate in the ÉCU.

To make the ÉCU Film Festival a rewarding film festival experience, festival attendees will be able to attend editing workshops run by AVID and screenwriting labs hosted by Scriptshark, join in on discussion panels and get hands-on experience with the latest filmmaking technology.

With interest from large sections of European and international press, this is a great opportunity for independent filmmakers to get recognition for their films. Attending directors will also have the opportunity to speak about their films at our “Speak to the Directors” panel sessions which take place throughout the festival.

“The European Independent festival has proved to be a true breakthrough for Indie Filmmakers in Europe. ÉCU 2009 offers European independent filmmakers the chance to screen their films to an audience hungry for high-quality independent films, exposes them to other independent filmmaker’s work and gives them a forum to exchange ideas with other filmmakers. I believe that all of this will help them a great deal in their future filmmaking ventures.”
- Scott Hillier, President of The European Independent Film Festival.
